Natalie M. Lewis Singer/Songwrit

Natalie has been writing and singing since the age of six. She led her first song at her local
church in Clarksville, TN. "I recall everyone standing up and laughing at me as I sang. I vowed
never to sing again after that day. My mother tried to explain to me that they were shocked to see
such a little person with such a powerful voice. I wasn't convinced."
Natalie decided to continue writing songs but to never sing in public. "Singing and writing is my
escape. Even at the age of six. It's what I did when I was bored or felt sad and lonely."
It wasn't until her family moved to Memphis, TN that she began to sing in public again. It started
with school choirs and then grew to church choirs. She made several attempts to sing lead in both
settings, but fear always held her back. Well, not anymore. Her experiences have given her the
strength and power she needs to recognize the authority she had all along.
Now, Natalie is known to refer to herself as "The Catalyst" because it speeds up a reaction but is
not affected or damaged in the process. She is a Gospel Neo-Soul artist who sings whatever God
gives her. Her style has been compared to that of Lauryn Hill.
Natalie is still writing. She has written over 20 songs from age sixteen to current. Most of which
will be on her upcoming album. Release date to be announced. " I wish I could remember the
ones I wrote as a child."
