Faye Davis has been writing and recording music since 1999. She sings, plays piano and keys, bass guitar, tenor ukulele and programs drum loops and percussion. Faye likes the "velvet hammer" metaphor for her music ... it's powerful in its gentle femininity. Though A&R folk hate to hear this, Faye's music straddles a few categories at different times. Generally, the best description is Indie Pop, but Dream Pop and Indie Folk sound right, too. She aims to remind us of how successfully the singer/songwriters of the 70's genre-hopped, yet still remained distinct.
Faye also works on side-projects under the name Doe Pa'Meen.
