Cross Grain was formed originally in the summer of 1999 by 5 musicians hailing from the Brooklyn and Queens areas. Most of the members grew up in the NY hardcore scene going to shows and listing to bands like Murphy's Law,BreakDown,Cold Front and Darkside as well as many many more. Driven by the urge to make people move Cross Grain entered the studio at the end of the summer of 99 and started to plot out a musical assult on the hardcore community.
