Bio of Cherri Wilson-Thornton
Hi, my name is Cherri Wilson-Thornton. I was born, raised and lived most of my life in Tampa, Florida. I now live in Monterey, California. I am very new to the music industry and know I still have a lot to learn about writing songs, and good songs at that. I became interested in songwriting because I love writing and music so much it only made since to combine the two. There is nothing more therapeutic or rewarding to me than being able to share my most inner feelings of my hopes, thoughts, dreams, views, stories and secrets with others in hopes that they too can relate. My dream ever since I was a little girl was to one day write songs for others to enjoy. I am working on my very first CD. For every song I'm fortunate enough to bring to life, I try and make my next song better or different than the one before with the knowledge I've learned from other talented artists.
Because I love all styles of music, my style is unique. I love pop, reggae, rock, country and hip-hop and love to mix it all up! I want my music to be enjoyed and listed to by everyone. I want people to hear my CD and have a hard time giving it a label. I want to be unclassifiable but yet unforgettable. Because each song takes on a life of its own and has a story to tell, I want everyone to be able to hear it and hopefully relate to it.
Currently, I spend my time writing as many new songs as I can. I love performing and hope to soon share my music with everyone through various music venues.
