Hey Dallas , I just listened to your track "Weekends Only Son " nice work on that. Can I be real with you for a second? Most artists like you already have what it takes musically but they're following the wrong path to visibility, so nothing really moves. It's frustrating because the effort is there but the results don't match. When I heard your track, I saw potential but it needs the right push and direction to actually reach people who'll connect with it. That's where I come in. Honest question: Right now, do you feel your music is growing or just existing online? If you're open to a quick chat, see what you have to do. Best regards, Cedar.
I think you co-write with Michael Roth. Are you from Arlington, VA?
Yes- I did co-write with Mike when we both lived in Arlington. I now live in San Diego, CA.
Scott, this is Barbara McMillen from Dallas Songwriters Song Contest. I'm preparing the list of semifinalists to post on our website. I need to know where you are from.
Hey Barbara- I am from San Diego, CA. Let me know if you need anything else. All the best, Scott www.scottthorn.com
Great song. I'd raise the melody line higher in the bridge to help it stand out from the verses.
Thank you!
Great Song!
THANK YOU! I appreciate it! :)
Good song, but, Your chorus might be more powerful this way "I'm praying, " Jesus to take my hand and lead me Down my troubled path today A path covered with dangers and temptations Only You an guide my every step along the way"
That sounds terrific! Thank you!
Thank you so much for adding my song, Love is The Answer to your playlist - really appreciate it.
I think your hook and title is Jesus bought Me An Acre In Heaven . I'd rename the song
Like the song overall but needs work. Keep verses the same in rhyme pattern, lyric cadence , and melody. Verse tells the story. V1 and 3 are the same gut V 2 is different. Keep chorus the same every time. So find you number sticker hook, put it in the chorus and keep it the same. Good bridge try putting this line at the end of the bridge "If it's the truth, it won't change." Then replace it in the chorus with your hook "Truth Never Changes" Very nice start, just make a few changes before you go to Joes's with it.
