"Every composition, every song I’ve written carries a piece of my truth — moments I’ve lived, feelings I’ve buried, stories I’ve never told. But in those melodies and lyrics, you might hear echoes of your own life. If these songs touch your heart, or even shift something deep in your soul, then every note was worth it."
With all my heart — Yves Stilmant.

Belgian-born and California-based since 1991, Yves Stilmant is a genre-defying composer and musician whose career spans more than five decades. A true rocker at heart, he first made his name as a fiery guitarist and prolific songwriter, fusing raw energy with melodic precision. Today, Yves channels his lifelong journey into modern country rock anthems, intimate and emotional ballads, and cinematic instrumental works that blend virtuosity, storytelling, and unmistakable heart.

Since his first professional studio sessions in 1971, Yves has collaborated with an extraordinary roster of world-class artists, including The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Kim Wilson, Tommy Castro, Gregg Bissonette (Maynard Ferguson, David Lee Roth, Toto, Joe Satriani, Ringo Starr All-Star Band), Matt Bissonette (Rick Springfield, Joe Satriani, Elton John, REO Speedwagon), Bruce Conte (Tower of Power), Lydia Pense & Cold Blood, Supertramp, John Sykes (Blue Murder, Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake), and Peter Cor (Earth, Wind & Fire, Lee Ritenour, Hubert Laws), among others.

Throughout his career, Yves recorded and produced music in some of the most iconic studios across Europe and the United States, including Morgan Studio, Alain Pierre Recording Studio, Studio Pyramid, and ICP Studios in Belgium; Paramount and Cherokee Studios in Hollywood; Ground Control Studios in Burbank; Unique Recording Studios in New York; Strangelove Productions and Big Water Studios; Sierra Sonics in Reno; and his own private studio in Lake Tahoe, California.

Alongside his rock and country legacy, Yves has forged a powerful second identity as a cinematic and soundtrack composer. Inspired by Hans Zimmer, John Williams, James Newton Howard, and James Horner, he creates sweeping orchestral scores, character themes, and fantasy-driven suites for novels, films, and concept albums -- merging epic symphonic textures with the emotional depth of a storyteller who has lived every note he writes. His award-winning composition "Titan's Awakening" stands as a testament to this evolving orchestral voice.

Yves is the founder of Audio Alchemy / Lumière SoundWorks and Groove Tattoo Publishing, which oversees a catalog of more than 800 registered original works and dozens of albums across multiple genres. He is a proud member of The Recording Academy (GRAMMYs), ASCAP, AES, AIMP, ASMAC, and SoundExchange. His signature white Stetson hat, Stratocaster guitars, and cinematic vision have made him a distinctive, enduring presence in both the recording industry and the art of musical storytelling.

Hi Peter,

Thank you for taking the time to listen -- I really appreciate the kind words about the music and production. That means a lot.

I'm always open to connecting with people who genuinely engage with the work, and I'm happy to hear more about what you have in mind. Feel free to share a bit more detail about how you typically support artists and what a "brief chat" would involve.

Thanks again for reaching out,
