John, my mentor... Wayyyyyyyy back in 2015, asked me to pick out an idol, any idol, and then replicate the melody to one of the themes they composed. I choose Bear. His work on BSG captivated me in ways that were absolutely mind boggling.
I fell in love with his craft over the seasons he was involved in, and decided to mimic this particular piece, and failed miserably... It was beyond my skill set at the time.
I often wonder how good it would sound if I did it today... but know in my heart this is not my composition, and think I'd rather just meet the guy... Learn it from the master himself.
