Wanna Be World Music and Lyrics by Mary Ott Copyright 1992
Black leather, Black lace,
Takes a wild imagination.
Chains drippin? from chest to waist,
Symbolize devotion.
Pre_Chorus:
Everybody?s sister, brother and wife,
Wants to be, wants to be what?
Scrapin? by on nickels, plastic and lies,
Has this dream been realized?
Chorus:
We?re livin? in a Wanna Be World,
Filled with, dark characters and mother of pearl,
The streets are paved from Thailand to Tabor,
With visions, from a Wanna Be World.
Verse 2:
Silicone siloutte, lovely bodies synthesized.
Ooh, just the thought makes his palms sweat,
Can?t wait to touch those perfect thighs.
Pre-Chorus:
Everybody?s sister, brother and wife,
Wants to be, whats to be what?
Camouflage grand central, dark circles and dust,
Never mind they?ve auctioned their souls into rust.
Chorus:
We?re livin? in a Wanna Be World
Filled with, dark characters and mother of pearl,
Throw down the gauntlet and those Goldie locks curls,
We?re swimmin? in a Wanna Be World.
Verse 3:
He likes them long, he likes them sleek,
Say Testarossa, his knees go weak.
Antique baubles and a castle in the hills,
The image game is his only thrill.
Pre-Chorus:
Everybody?s sister, brother and wife,
Wants to be, wants to be what?
I?m not The Joker, or Winnie the Pooh,
I?m just a simple girl, who?s tellin? you, That we?re?
Chorus:
Livin? in a Wanna Be World
Filled with dark characters and mother of pearl
The streets are paved with those Goldie locks curls
And visions of a Wanna Be World.
