Story Behind The Song
on september 11, 2004, the new york daily news ran a photo of the wrold trade center with the headline "remember" on its front page...
this was written from the prespective of a guy who never saw his wife again after she left for work in the city that morning...
tactfully, the song never mentions 9-11 (nor does it fall into patriotic cliches)
musically influenced by badfinger (note the slide guitar) and is mixed in a late-beatles manner (think let it be)
the arrangement is beautiful and delicate, notice how it builds... for such a short song, it packs quite a bit in

																Lyrics

									remember
i still remember the way you fixed your hair
gazing in the mirror all the while
i stood behind you, couldn't say a word
frozen in the beauty of your smile
i was never gonna let you go
but sometimes things don't work out right
now i sit here all alone
wishing i could turn back time
i was never gonna let you go
but sometimes things don't work out right
now i sit here all alone
