Story Behind The Song

I wrote this song several years ago, When I was going thru some major life changes and made some really hard decisions that changed my life. It was a scary time but I was determined to make strides in creating a new life and leaving the old one behind. That takes a lot of self reflection, digging and soul searching. It's takes a lot of courage that you don't necessarily have at the time. I Can Be, is a reflection of what it feels like to walk away from everything that defined you, because it was never really you.
